Dancing on the Riviera

There are some amazing builds at this years Fashion for Life, which means there's a LOT of places to take photos! :D I decided to take advantage of the FFL Excursion sim to show off this lovely dress from Wild Serenity. It is the Celestine gown, and comes in wine (which is what I'm wearing), as well as a lovely red version. 100% of the proceeds of this gown will go to RFL, so not only will you look fab, you'll be helping a worthy cause! ^.^

The skin I'm wearing is from Deluxe Body Factory. It's the Natsumi skin in Creme, but there are 3 other tones to choose from. They have a lot of other skins available, all donating 15% to RFL. You can find this lovely hair at Damselfly, on the Wander sim. It is exclusive to FFL, and one of three styles (2 female, 1 male) with 25% proceeds going towards the charity. My shoes are from Essenz. They are the Detroit Limited Fatpack edition, which are texture change with 6 available colors, and also has a purple "ribbon" accent. 100% of the proceeds from the fatpack edition goes to RFL. Single colors are available for purchase, as well as 2 other exclusive styles.

Dark Fantasy

During my travels through Fashion for Life, I came across this hair from EMO-tions. This is one of the most fab hairs I've found lately. It's hard to find what I call "glam hair". I know glam isn't the right word for it, but yeah. Anyway, what I mean is, "out of the norm" hair. Hair that just begs to be photoed. And this hair is definitely photo-worthy! It comes with 2 pony tail attachments (rigged, and flexi), and a bun. Also included is the horns, and the face chains. And with 25% of the proceeds going to RFL, its a great buy!

 

I decided to pair it up with a FAB dress I found at Zanze. You can find it in their booth at FFL. It also comes in a gold version, which is stunning, but the platinum looks beauuuuuuutiful with my horns! :D I also got slammed with compliments when I wore this out shopping after my photo shoot. So yeah. Be sure to pick up these items while you're at FFL. You won't be disappointed! ^.^

While strollin' through the fair one day.....

While I was doing some shopping at Fashion for Life, I ran into Bastchild Lotus & Paul Lapointe, setting up their booth. I've always loved their store, but I'd never had the pleasure of actually meeting them in person. As it turns out, they are two of the most pleasant, down to earth people you could ever hope to meet! (not to mention generous! If ya'll are reading this, thanks again for the stuffs! ;p) Anyway, after chatting with them and Isobel (their lovely wedding specialist) for a bit, I went on my way so they could get back to work. A few sims later, I hear someone say HI FALLACY! Whatdoyaknow - they decided to take a stroll through the event. While we were chatting, Paul notices a horse ride outside of a booth. What happened after was definitely worth documenting. (Photos and chat logs posted with their permission. The logs were edited for length though, cause we stood there laughing for quite a while. heh)

Every year, many wonderful residents of Second Life™  ban together to organize various events to benefit the American Cancer Society. Fashion for Life is SL’s longest running, and most successful fashion fair. As a first time Fashion For Life blogger, I wanted to take a moment to explain what it's all about. FFL is in support of Relay For Life of Second Life. 100% of the money donated through Fashion For Life goes to the RFLofSL. Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising event. ACS has a global impact on the fight against cancer. Fashion For Life 2014 runs from June 7th til June 20th, and spans across 10 sims. This years theme is Wanderlust, which is a reflection of Relay For Life's theme, "Journey To A Promise". 6.4.2014: Me & my JJ

If anyone noticed, I kind of did fall off the face of the planet there for a bit.  I have been sicker than I have been in years and am completing my first round of Cipro and starting to feel like myself again.  I apologize in the delays in blogging...and I was starting to get on a roll there.

This round of The Arcade is interesting; there are very few clothing items (I guess accessories and decorative items are more broadly appealing as a gacha item), but I was thrilled to see that Pixicat joined with this round and has made some stunning kimonos.  I am particularly in love with the patterned ones, especially this Koi one.  The kimonos are actually rompers so you can wear it alone and not show off parts you would rather not share.  The dragon on my shoulder is one of the rare items from the gacha and I just adore him.

Truth's Sakura hair for The Arcade is a ton of fun. You can win the style with either two buns or one in each color hud as well as with teddy bears, flowers, kokeshi dolls or sushi.  I am wearing the light blonde with sushi which is a rare and I was thrilled how well it worked with the kimono.  The skin is also from The Arcade; Glam Affair's Liv skin. There are a ton of those to collect this time with 3 skin tones and two skin styles.
