Hooray for Cute!

It all started with the little horns on the hair. Tableau Vivant's new color huds are the bomb and the delicate streaks of pink in the blond pack are like spun sugar, especially near the top of the head. The effect on the Mimi attachments perfectly blends with Hallie hair, both available at Collabor88. I don't tend to be a flashy person so the subtle streaks allowed me to really get my face on. The skin is the new group gift at Glam Affair and I added Wicked Peach's Priestess Makeup which is available now The Liaison Collaborative and I am super pleased with the look.  Just what I need before I succumb to Autumn completely.

I am a long time fan of Mimikri, who I am thrilled to see at The Liaison Collaborative.  Mimikri has a casual way with glam that I appreciate and the Eve Embellished Dress is a cute little cocktail number that shows just enough to be sexy without having to desperately throw yourself at the grid.  My hair is covering the darling little jewels that dot the bust of the shirt but it is distinctly Mimikri. Baby Monkey has been on a roll producing SLink compatable shoes for a song compared to many stores. They are sold with a single color hud that basically serves as a fat pack for less than the price of many shoes.  Better yet, group members get half off on all new releases for the first week.

Poses do not get enough credit though I do think we are getting better at crediting them.  They make our picture.  I am extremely impressed with the new pose sets that Fanny Willis has created for Candy Fair. Since the event ends today I hope they are soon at her store. She is definitely a pose maker that I will seek out in the future!

3.10.13 Fringe Society

I took some time today to wander around Kaelyn Alecto and Maxxster Resident's lovely new sim called It All Starts With A Smile. The sim is open to the public and full of all kinds of wonderful places to take photos, meet with friends or even dance.  In addition to the little village, where this photo was taken, there are rolling hills, playgrounds and wandering paths along the water.  I have been a longtime fan of Mimikri and ran to pick up some pieces to her new Milano set.  Mimikri does great things with textures and the snakeskin fabric on the skirt is simply delicious.  The set also includes sleeveless tops with lace overlays so it's perfect when you just want to throw something on and not worry about whether the meshes are going to fight. I just tossed on the fringy Leather Waist Bag from Zenith that is out at this month's The Men's Dept. It comes sized and in an unrigged version so you can mod it to your needs.  I broke my bank this weekend at the new Slink West sim which is devoted to SLINK friendly items, natch. Each store has at least one item at 50% off for the first week the sim is open.  I binged at Renegade, which has all it's shoes half off (OMG). I was also super impressed with Annabelle Couturier's Cannibelle stockings.  I'm wearing her new Chandelier stockings as they look funky with Renegade's Mendes boots. I can't forget the new hair release from Tableau Vivant for this months round of Collabor88.  The Low hair is a unisex hair that has a loose pony in back with a tintable band.  (sorry I didn't get a back shot, my comp decided to crash while I attempted to take a decent shot).

Skin & Shape Expo 2011: Idiosyncrasy

Ashia Tomsen, the creator and genius behind Idiosyncrasy, will forever hold a very special place in my heart. Ash was one of the first people with whom I revealed my obsession with all things fashion in SL.  Ashia is the person that started me blogging and she is one of the the most savvy, honest women I've had the honor to meet in SL.  Ashia has been making skins for several years now and she is undoubtedly a stickler.  Any skin you get from Idiosyncrasy has been painstakingly made and checked from top to toe hundreds of times for imperfections.  Her new line, Natasha, named for a treasured friend, receives it's inspiration from the rebellious spirit of Biba cosmetics as well as MAC's Surf Baby collection.  It premiers exclusively at Skin & Shape Expo 2011, which runs through May 22nd.

Natasha is available in 3 skin tones: Pale, Natural and Dark.  Each single pack contains 12 skins with 3 cleavage options, teeth options, light and dark brows, as well as a dark and light tat layer hair base and a full body tattoo layer.  Ashia is nothing if not thorough.

I wanted to show you the full body tattoo layer because Ashia has so carefully placed freckles in proportion to where they would fall in real life.  Ash doesn't do anything half way and the grid is a lovelier place for it.

Skin & Shape Expo 2011 is donating to Direct Relief International and each store has at least 1 items where 100% goes to the charity.
